If you have missing teeth that need replacement you may want to get dental implants to replace your missing teeth. Dental implants are one of the best ways to improve your smile when you have missing teeth – if not the best way. Dental implants are the closest thing you will ever get to actually getting new permanent teeth. Dental implants look, feel and function just like your original permanent teeth. If you are looking for San Diego dental care that will result in your getting great dental implants, contact us at Hurst Dental Care.
At Hurst Dental Care our two expert and highly trained dentist are Dr. Steve Hurst and Dr. Bridget Hurst, a dedicated husband and wife dental team. We work to make sure that our patients have exemplary San Diego dental care in a compassionate and stress-free setting. When patients come to us with missing teeth, our dentists are happy to offer dental implants as a permanent way to fix their smiles. Dental implants consist of two parts. There is the lower titanium root portion and the upper porcelain crown portion. The first step is to make sure that the patient qualifies for dental implants by making sure that their jawbone is healthy enough to securely hold the titanium root. Once this is determined, the titanium root will be surgically inserted into the patient’s jawbone. Over the course of the next few weeks and months the jawbone will heal and the titanium root will permanently fuse to the jawbone.
When this fusion and healing process is completed you will return for San Diego dental care to get the porcelain crown attached to the root. The porcelain crown will be color-matched to your adjacent teeth so that no one will be able to determine that you even have a dental implant. The porcelain crown will be permanently attached to the root and your implant will be complete! You will now be able to eat just about anything you want. Also, this dental implant will never interfere with your good speech. And if well taken care of, there is no reason why the dental implant will not be able to last for a lifetime – just like a regular permanent tooth. If you would like to meet with one of our dentists to see if you are a good candidate to receive dental implants, simply contact us for an appointment at Hurst Dental Care.
